KEN’S SUSHI STARTED IN 1989. KEN CAME FROM THE CITY KUMAMOTO, ISLAND KYUSHU, JAPAN. MOVED TO NEW YORK, WORKED FOR 10 YEARS AND THEN DROVE TO CALIFORNIA TO START HIS OWN SUSHI RESTAURANT. RANCHO CUCAMONGA HAS ALWAYS REMINDED KEN OF HIS HOME TOWN IN JAPAN WITH THE MOUNTAINS IN THE BACK, HE GREW UP IN THE COUNTRY SIDE. THAT IS WHY HE DECIDED TO OPEN HIS RESTAURANT IN RANCHO CUCAMONGA. HE WOULD DRIVE TO LOS ANGELES TO PICK UP HIS FISH AND OTHER INGREDIENTS. HE ALWAYS SAID IT WAS WORTH IT, FOR HIS CUSTOMERS.

FOR OVER 30 YEARS OUR GOAL IS TO SERVE THE BEST SUSHI. IT STARTS WITH WAKING UP EARLY IN THE MORNING AND MAKING THAT DRIVE TO DOWN TOWN LOS ANGELES TO HAND PICK EACH FISH. AND TO DEVELOP A CLOSE RELATIONSHIP WITH THE FISH MARKET WORKERS. WE GET FISH FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD.
